From the very first time I spoke with Jon, he was nothing but professional and courteous. All throughout the deck design and construction process, Jon always promptly answered my emails, texts and phone calls.  For anyone who’s ever dealt with residential contractors before, this is a true rarity.

Communications with J&S were smooth and effortless.  Prior to committing to J&S, Jon gave me a list of names of their customers from the previous year and encouraged me to call them.  I called just about all of them, and they all had nothing but positive things and praise to say about their decks and their experience with J&S. Because of some property constraints, we had to come up with a somewhat unique design for our deck, and John was very good at suggesting some ideas and also receptive to our input.  His designs are creative and artful, yet practical.  After a couple of tweaks to Jon’s initial design we finally got it right, and we couldn’t be happier with the final product. Our J&S deck is a work of art.  Jon and Scott clearly take pride in their workmanship and of their creations.  We have friends who have recently built a deck similar in size to ours using another contractor, and there is simply no comparison as far as quality and workmanship goes.  Friends who have seen our deck have all commented how beautiful it looks.  One friend said it looks like it came out of a home and garden magazine.  I would not hesitate recommending J&S to others who are considering a deck and want a quality product and a great experience.
