When you sign a contract with J&S, you are retaining the services of skilled craftsmen who clearly take great pride in their work. We had a local landscaper build a wood deck at our previous home, and the phrase “you get what you pay for” became painfully obvious. The poor quality of the materials and the construction began to show almost immediately. We vowed not to make the same mistake when we were able to trade up to our new home.

We approached the deck project as an investment to extend our living area that we will enjoy with friends and family for many years. The first decision we made was to choose the building material. Our prior experience with a basic wood deck convinced us to spend the additional money on the Trex Transcend product. We then invited multiple contractors to submit proposals. Jon presented several designs and incorporated beautiful features that we would not have thought of on our own. The plan we finally chose greatly exceeded our initial expectations and flows perfectly with the slope of our yard.

I felt comfortable with Jon from the first time we met, but I still wanted to perform due diligence since this was such a significant financial investment. I took the time to visit with two prior J&S clients who both raved about the quality of the process and the final product. I am happy to say that I agree with their assessments. Jon and Scott were absolutely meticulous with every detail. The deck has truly added a beautiful new dimension to our home and we have received many compliments about the design and quality.
